Mike Bithell follows up Subsurface Circular with Quarantine Circular

Worth staying in for.

Thomas was Alone developer Mike Bithell has announced - and released - his next game: a follow-up to Subsurface Circular called Quarantine Circular.

Like Subsurface Circular, Quarantine Circular is a science fiction text adventure-style game that can be completed in a couple of hours and costs £4.79.

Unlike Subsurface Circular, however, Quarantine Circular includes multiple endings and multiple active characters. So, you can have a drastic effect on how the narrative goes and, according to Bithell, even who is present in the game's final moments.

"Many, many, adults reached out to us about Subsurface Circular and expressed how happy they were that they could sit down and complete a game after a long day at work or in the few hours they had to themselves after putting the kids to bed," Bithell said.

"The Steam community also showed us that there is a place for short games. Subsurface Circular maintains a 95 per cent+ recommendation rate on the platform and has a less than three per cent return rate (despite being shorter than two hours)."
