Return to Tyr's Temple

Topside, take the boat back for a peaceful debrief with your boy, back the way you came, and dock up by Sindri's shop again.

Hop up the ledge, but go straight on first, rather than turning right through the arch, to spot a special purple chest containing another Muspelheim Cipher Piece for the side quest The Realm of Fire.

Realm Travel back to Midheim

Now, head all the way back across the bridge, back inside Tyr's Temple, and go into the realm travel room. Select Midgard, and you're near enough all done!

Looking for more help? Our God of War walkthrough and guide helps with the main story progress, including The Witch's Cave puzzle solutions. We also have articles on God of War Valkyrie locations and how to open Hidden Chambers, plus collectables including God of War Faces of Magic locations,God of War Lost and Found locations, God of War Treasure Map locations and God of War Nornir chest locations.

Return to the Mountain and Go Back Through the Tower

This one seems simple enough, but as you exit onto Tyr's Bridge back in Midgard you'll notice a few more enemies waiting for you at the far end - these are new, speedy Draugr, so don't be caught of guard - but otherwise the journey there isn't much of a problem.

One thing to note, though, is that the Lore Marker that you encounter halfway through the tower is now able to be activated: drop down and turn to your right to find a fallen blue Crystal - pick it up and carry it over to the socket next to the Lore Marker and have Atreus shoot it and read the tablet to jot down the lore.

After that, climb up the wooden rack as usual and exit out to Sindri at his shop once more - while you're here too, check in to buy, sell or upgrade anything you'd like to. As you edge further through the game maintaining the level of your gear becomes increasingly important.

There are some more enemies here too - Wolves - that you need to take care of, but they're simple enough. When you're done hop on the lift again and head up towards the mountain itself once more.

Walk back up to the part of the bridge that's blocked by the Black Breath, and when you reach it follow the button prompts to dispel the Black Breath with your Bifrost. Keep walking on up through the black smoke until you reach the top and it's fully dispersed for you to press on.

Next up: God of War - Inside the Mountain, Ascend the Mountain and Traverse the Dark Caves

You'll need to do a spot of climbing here, as this mission ends and the next begins, and there's some more black smoke just above, but soon enough you'll be inside and ready for the next part of The Journey.
