Finding the Dusty Depot treasure map location is the objective of one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 3 rewards. Note you'll need to be a Battle Pass holder in order to undertake this challenge.

If you're just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints.

Note with the end of Season 3, this challenge is no longer able to completed. There are, however, other Fortnite Challenges to tackle as part of the Season 4 Battle Pass, including this week's Rubber Duckies locations and the Salty Springs treasure map location.

How the Dusty Depot treasure map works

For the Week 1 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Follow the treasure map found in Dusty Depot (1 total, 10 Battle Stars)

Another on the list during Week 1 includes visiting a Llama, Fox, and a Crab.

Dusty Depot hides a map that paves the way to a hidden treasure. Note only those with the Battle Pass will be able to see it, and on it features a diagram of where the treasure can be found.

However, if you know where to go - which the directions further down this page will explain - you don't need go to the original location first in order to find the treasure, so feel free to skip the first step.

As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches (you cannot enter the map without other players), so you'll have to avoid combat encounters as you attempt to find each location.

Note you need to complete the match in order for the challenge to be finished - quitting the match as soon as you collect it won't work.

Dusty Depot treasure map location

Dusty Depot is located in the centre of the map, and is a collection of three warehouses. The map you are looking for is between the southern most of these warehouses. Head between them, hack down the chainlink fence, and you'll see it adorned on the wall.

However you find the map - or not, as you can skip to the next step without worrying about finding the map in the first place - you want to go south of Shifty Shafts.

Specifically, go round the mountain to the south and you'll come across a compound with a purple car on the roof.

From here, go to the tree north of the compound, but before the path and the mountain. When you find the right spot the treasure will appear on the screen.

Use the button prompt that appears on the screen to collect it.

Another reminder you need to complete the match in order for the challenge to be finished - quitting the match as soon as you collect it won't work.
