Far Cry 5 - Salvage Rites solution

How to find and complete Far Cry 5's Salvage Rites treasure puzzle.

Far Cry 5 Salvage Rites solution is a puzzle you have to solve within the Whitetail Mountains region.

It's one of many Prepper Stash locations you'll find throughout the game, all giving you rewards once you solve and figure out how to access them.

Salvage Rites solution

Location: Salvage Camp

Rewards: $1,000, 3 x perk magazines

This Prepper Stash is, by far, the easiest one to complete in all of Jacob's dangerous mountain region. Also, it doesn't involve any long hikes or grappling. You probably won't even need to fire a single bullet or arrow. Huzzah!

The location of this Prepper Stash is based near the Salvage Camp, due east of Clagett Bat (and northwest of Dutch's Island).

The island will have four trees on the map so it's hard to miss. We found either the Forest Research Station on Dutch's Island or the Silver Lake Parking Lot in Jacob's Region as the best places to fast travel to when completing this side-quest.

Using an Air Drop is also super useful for covering most of the water and avoiding all the annoying swimming.

Look for a camp that's been set up on the northern shore of this tiny little island (there should be a tent and other camping gear so it should be pretty easy to spot). The long box containing all the loot for this Prepper Stash will be here, as will the clue to initiate the mission.

Now, facing north, swim towards the marker. Go underwater and you will see three flares glowing underwater. Swim towards the furthest of the three.

There will be a small buoy and a line going down in the water to where the third flare is, so if you're swimming with your head above the surface you won't lose track of the perfect spot to submerge.

Now swim down and you'll find a diver dead on the lake floor next to some salvage. Grab the yellow key next to him, then swim straight back up to the surface. Swim back to shore, unlock the long box and claim all the prizes inside for yourself. Go on, you've earned it.
