Far Cry 5 - Unwelcome Guest solution

How to find and complete Far Cry 5's Unwelcome Guest treasure puzzle.

Far Cry 5 Unwelcome Guest is a puzzle you have to solve within the Whitetail Mountains region.

It's one of many Prepper Stash locations you'll find throughout the game, all giving you rewards once you solve and figure out how to access them.

Unwelcome Guest solution

Location: Frank's Cabin

Rewards: 3 x perk magazines, $1,000

Located in one of the most western points in the entire map, Frank's Cabin is the site of an unfortunate encounter with one of Hope County's most dangerous predators.

First off - this area is heavily populated with cultists, including archers and judges. Keep some distance and use sniping to reduce all the threats to your person.

Once you reach Frank's Cabin (follow the long winding roads leading from Langford Lake as they meandre of the mountain). There's also a black bear up here, so watch out if you're on foot or riding a quad bike.

When you reach the cabin, you'll see the main door is locked. Read the Prepper Stash note on the wall outside, then follow the trail of blood and detritus that leads up the path behind the cabin.

Follow the path as it drops down, turn right and you'll see a large cave entrance at the end of the path. Keep your eyes open as there's some bald eagles flying about as well and they can be really dangerous.

Approach the cave with the weapons of your choice (we used the combo of a shotgun and some molotovs - if you take it down with arrows you'll get more money for its pelt), then take the bear down for good.

Head inside the cave and take the keycard from the corpse. Now head back to the cabin and use the keycard to unlock the door. Step inside and the contents of the Prepper Stash are yours for the taking.

There's a few extras to pick up in here, including a medkit, some body armour, crafting materials and plenty of ammunition. When you leave, just make sure you're ready as plenty of cultists will likely return since your previous gunfight.
