Far Cry 5 - Hanger Pains solution

How to find and complete Far Cry 5's Hanger Pains treasure puzzle.

Far Cry 5 Hanger Pains is a puzzle you have to solve within the Whitetail Mountains region.

It's one of many Prepper Stash locations you'll find throughout the game, all giving you rewards once you solve and figure out how to access them.

Hanger Pains solution

Location: Lansdowne Airstrip

Rewards: Pack Hunter plane, Cheeseburger bobblehead, Hares Magazine, 3 x perk magazines, $1,000

Head to Lansdowne Airstrip (which you can find by going northeast of the FANG Center (where you can free Cheeseburger and add it as one of your specialists). You'll know you're in the right place as there's a massive red and white radio tower.

You can speak to the NPC nearby to point you in the right direction (he'll likely be a hostage by the side of the road) or you can head towards the blue hanger and find the clue just outside on top of some boxes.

The clue reveals that the Prepper Stash you're after is locked inside the garage. But there's no way to get inside from where you are. So how do you get in?

The answer? The roof, of course! To get there you use a variety of methods - you could spawn a helicopter and land it on the roof; you could climb to the top of the radio mast (you'll need to grapple your way to the highest platform) and wingsuit across (parachute on its own won't get you far enough); or you can fast travel to the location and select 'Air Drop' (you can then wingsuit and parachute your way to the roof.

However, you do it, land on the roof and look for a skylight in the middle. Drop down and you'll then land on the wing of a rather fetching plane. All the loot you need is ready for the taking, but in order to 'complete' the Prepper Stash you'll need to open the hangar door.

To do this, look for the switch on the left-hand wall (when facing the front of the plane). This will open the door and end this Prepper Stash.

For completing this Prepper Stash, you'll now have access to the plane from any plane request point (such as the one located in this hangar).

Make sure you grab all the cash, the perk magazines, the collectible bobblehead, the hunting magazine and anything else that takes your fancy while you're there.
