Sea of Thieves islands vary pretty drastically, from tiny piles of sand with a single tree, to sprawling land masses filled with underground caves and hidden secrets.

Here on this page, we'll list each of Sea of Thieves island's names, as well as detailing all of the island locations and island shapes on the Sea of Thieves map, so you can quickly identify exacly where to go when your map quests dictate it.

Sea of Thieves island map explained

Sea of Thieves' island map works simply enough - simply interact with it on your ship to scroll around and take a look at where things are - but there are a couple of basic things worth quickly pointing out before we dive into our list of islands and their locations.

Map

For one, it might sound simple but remember to properly zoom in and out as you're scrolling around - it's surprisingly easy to gloss over an island's location because you've zoomed out a bit too far and the game's shrunken it from view in the process.

Likewise, note that some islands exist in the game world, but aren't depicted on the map or given official names, which we've excluded from our list below.

Sea of Thieves island locations, names and shapes - how to find every island

Otherwise, to use this islands key below, simply look for the information you already know - say, the image of the island shaped like a chicken leg - and we'll tell you the rest, like its location (the letters are the X-axis along the top of the map, the numbers the Y axis down the left), or its proper name. In the case of the chicken leg-shaped island for instance, that would be... chicken isle.

If you do know an island name or its coordinates, and want to see its other details, you can use Ctrl+F to search this guide on desktop, or the search function at the bottom of your screen on mobile, and it'll jump you straight to it.
