Fortnite Battle Royale now has a £3.99 starter pack

Free-to-download multiplayer behemoth Fortnite Battle Royale now has a premium starter pack.

Fortnite Battle Royale's starter pack.

It costs £3.99 and gives you 600 V-Bucks (the in-game currency), the rogue agent outfit and the catalyst back bling. It's not a bad deal, when you consider 1000 V-Bucks costs £7.99 on its own.

This starter pack seems designed to give new players a leg up with a couple of cool items to use and some V-Bucks to spend. But you don't get enough V-Bucks to buy most of the game's good stuff. The season three Battle Pass, for example, costs 950 V-Bucks.

You can grab the Fortnite Battle Royale starter pack for PlayStation 4, Xbox One (where it costs £3.19 for some reason) and PC via Epic's launcher.
