Theme Hospital was brilliant - iconic, even - so it's understandable there's lots of excitement surrounding Two Point Hospital, a spiritual successor so like the original we're getting third degree sideburns just thinking about it.

It's even being made by a studio founded by two original Theme Hospital developers - Gary Carr and Mark Webley - so the foundations run deep.

But Two Point Hospital is not due until late 2018! Oh I wish there were some way to hear more before then. What's that - there is? You don't say!

Yes, developer Two Point Studios will be bringing Two Point Hospital to EGX Rezzed 2018 in London next month, presenting the game in a Friday 13th April developer session at 2pm UK time, and it will be live-streamed YouTube and Twitch.

Will it cause infectious laughter, sweaty palms and ruptured nodules? Time will tell! We'll just have to get corrugated ankles while we wait.

Two Point Games is far from the only team presenting its latest and greatest at EGX Rezzed 2018 - a show put on by Eurogamer's parent company Gamer Network, in case you didn't know. Top billing goes to legendary game maker Tim Schafer, who's flying over for the show and a talk on Friday 13th at noon.

Day tickets for EGX Rezzed 2018 are 17.50, and the Friday and Saturday stocks are running low. The show is housed at London's ultra snazzy Tobacco Dock.
