Zelda - Ruvo Korbah trial in Breath of the Wild DLC 2

How to complete the DLC 2 trial.

Ruvo Korbah is a challenge as part of The Champions' Ballad, which is the main quest in Zelda: Breath of the Wild's second DLC.

This page covers the camp you'll face before tackling the Ruvo Korbah shrine and its Major Test of Strength challenge.

If you're after help for the main game itself, then consult our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough and guide.

Clearing the camp before Ruvo Korbah

Upon leaving the second shrine, speak to Kass outside to receive a cryptic warning about enemies on hoseback. Now head towards the Temple of Time.

At the bottom of the hill behind the temple is the camp you need to take down. This camp is the biggest yet and contains bokoblins, lizalfos and a moblin. To take make your life easier, climb the cliff that overlooks the camp and use Bomb Arrows/Fire Arrows to take out the moblin and any bokoblins on horseback.

Remember, those lizalfos will rush you, a number of which will breath fire at you. Thankfully, these firebreathers do a little dance before they attack so use an Ice Arrow to destroy them in one hit. There's around eight enemies in this area, so use this higher ground to snipe them all from safety. The lizalfos standing sentry on raised stones won't be able to see you but you'll be sniping distance of them. When the camp is cleared the temple will rise out of the ground behind the temple.

Ruvo Korbah solution

You'll now need to take down a very powerful Guardian, but thankfully the fight isn't as tough as it appears. Equip a robust shield and immediately press and hold 'LZ' once the fight begins.

As soon as it sends out a flurry of blasts at you, run in the with the Obliterator and strike the infernal machine to destroy it. Keep back as it explodes, then loot the weapons it drops for later in the game. It will also drop some ancient gears which can be sold for a decent price elsewhere.

Head into the room that opened when you defeated the Guardian. Inside you'll find a pack of Bomb Arrows and an orange button where the Monk should be. Standing on it will reveal a hole in the floor of the room where you defeated the Guardian.

Glide to the bottom and you'll see a locked door. Look to your right and you'll see a chest on a raised platform - this is where the key is. Turn left, then take out the Guardian around the corner. Take out the next one on the raised area, then the third around the next corner to the left.

Take out another Guardian above you, then climb the ladder and remove the key from the chest. You can now unlock the door.

Inside, you'll see the Monk behind a gate. Step forwards and four Guardians will appear - one on a bridge, one directly in front of the gate and one on either side of the room.

Use arrows to take out the far one (one hit will be enough), then use Bomb/Flame Arrows to deal with the ones on either side. Now use a well placed Bomb Arrow to knock the tougher Guardian off the bridge to its death.

Or, if you're feeling ballsy, run up to the bridge and destroy it with your Obliterator. Now carefully glide down and speak to the Monk to end your time in this third shrine.

If you haven't already, time to take on the three other camps and shrines nearby.
