How to complete the Cloud Kingdom objective.

Nimbus Arena and the first Bowser boss encounter are objectives you'll encounter a fair chunk of the way through Super Mario Odyssey, which follow on from Super Mario Odyssey - Pass to the Secret Flower Field and Defend the Secret Flower Field!.

You'll find our full walkthrough for them here, whilst you can head back to our main Super Mario Odyssey guide, walkthrough and tips hub for plenty more on all aspects of the game!

Nimbus Arena - Bowser boss encounter

On your way to the Metro Kingdom, you'll catch up with Bowser's flying ship, leading to an impromptu boss fight.

When you leave the Odyssey on the cloud area, throw Capy at the Capy symbols - don't jump them until you've thrown your cap to create a cloudy platform. Do this to all three hats to reach the other side.

When you reach the main area, Bowser will jump down. His white top hat will now have a boxing glove upgrade. When he flings it, use Capy to stop it dead. Jump inside the hat and run towards Bowser, pressing 'Y' to use the boxing gloves.

He'll start jumping to avoid you, sending fiery shockwaves with every landing. Leap over these then start hitting him with a flurry of punches until he flies back.

During the second phase, Bowser's hat will now have two purple doppelgangers. Avoid these and hit the white hat again. Jump inside and head for Bowser. Once again he'll leap away and cause shockwaves.

When you reach him, keeping pounding him, but watch out for a purple shield that may appear. This means he's blocking you and will attempt to counter with a tail swipe - jump away to safety then resume your punching.

The third phase will see Bowser throwing many purple hats alongside the white one. Once you've hit it and jumped inside, Bowser will return to his shockwave tactic. Then begin throwing massive balls of stone. Punch these to destroy them, then start pummelling bowser.

Cloud Kingdom Power Moon locations

As with any other Kingdom, there are also a few Power Moons to find. However thankfully, there are just two to grab from this location.

1. Picture Match: Basically a Goomba

Enter the Warp Pipe on the main cloud platform. This challenge requires you to memorise the layout of a Goomba's face and lay out all the features on a blank version. The closer you are to the actual version, the higher you score. To achieve the 60 or more points needed, possess each piece and follow the screenshot we've provided to score big and win a Moon.

2. Peach in the Cloud Kingdom

You can find Peach in the Cloud Kingdom after you've completed the main story. Speak to her to grab this Moon.
