Mario Tennis Aces has been announced for Nintendo Switch, and launches this spring.

It's not a port - unlike some other games announced in today's Nintendo Direct - but a fresh project from long-time series developer Camelot.

Interestingly, Aces has a story mode and bosses in addition to the usual sporty gameplay.

Elsewhere on Switch, Nintendo gave a date for the console's upcoming Kirby game - now titled Kirby Star Allies - and there's not long to wait.

The side-scrolling platformer is set to arrive on 16th March.
