Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon - Route 6, Royal Avenue and Battle Royal Dome

A walkthrough for the second island of your Alolan Island Challenge.

Route 6, Royal Avenue and the Battle Royal Dome are they next landmarks you'll encounter. Head south from Route 5 after your Trial with Lana and you'll be on your way.

Here on this page we'll explain all you need to know about the story and main events as they unfold here, and as with all pages of our walkthrough we'll highlight any and all trainers, items and wild Pokémon available to catch as well.

For more general guides and other walkthrough pages like this meanwhile, head back to our main Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon walkthrough and guide hub.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Route 6

As you may have noticed, there's a row of Sudowoodo blocking the path south from Route 5. Now you've gained the ability to use Waterium Z in battle however, they're quickly dealt with. Interact with them and after a bit of chat with the nearby boy they'll be gone.

The Ultra Recon Squad will appear once more and challenge you to another fairly easy battle, and it's on to Route 6 proper, which contains a handful of trainers and wild Pokémon.

If you follow it all the way south you'll reach the eastern end of Heahea City, which was previously closed off, but as there's little else to do there for now, clear out the route and then head east from it again, where you'll find Team Skull hassling a Drifloon and a girl in purple trying to defend it.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Royal Avenue and Battle Royal Dome

After helping Hapu, the girl in purple, with those pesk Team Skull Grunts, head on into the main town nearby.

There are two points of interest here - the Battle Royal Dome, which is how you'll advance the story, and just beyond it the Thrifty Megamart, a supermarket which offers discounted items when you visit. Handy for stocking up!

Head to the Battle Dome then, and you'll encounter Hau, Gladion, and a competitor called the Masked Royal who seems to behave an awful lot like Professor Kukui.

Next up: Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon - Route 7, Wela Volcano Park, Captain Kiawe's Trial with Totem Marowak for Firium Z

You'll be entered into a quick Battle Royal - but it doesn't really play out like a proper one, just giving you one Pokémon each so you have a rough idea of how it works. Afterward, Captain Kiawe appears and sounds impressed, so it's onto his Trial next, via Route 7.
