Jelly Deals: GAME's winter sale is now live

Battlefront 2! Destiny 2! Wolfenstein 2! More!

A note from the editor: Jelly Deals is a deals site launched by our parent company, Gamer Network, with a mission to find the best bargains out there. Look out for the Jelly Deals roundup of reduced-price games and kit every Saturday on Eurogamer.

Given that we're now midway through December, it makes enough sense that some online retailers would be well underway with their respective Christmas sales. Not GAME, though, of course. The company has launched its set of just-in-time-for-Christmas offers this morning, covering PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch.

Don't get your hopes up on Switch bargains right now, though, as there are currently only four products in the Switch section of the sale, two of which are in fact the same game. Still, L.A. Noire is down to £29.99 which isn't bad.

Elsewhere on the site, you'll find Star Wars Battlefront 2 for £35 (timely), Destiny 2 for £20, The Surge for £13, South Park: The Fractured But Whole for £30 and more. It's not exactly the biggest range of items up for grabs and they're not all winners in terms of prices, but there is some noteworthy stuff there.

Here are the highlights:

  • Star Wars Battlefront 2 on Xbox One and PS4 for £34.99
  • Destiny 2 on PS4 and Xbox One for £19.99
  • Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy on PS4 for £22.99
  • Assassin's Creed Oranges on PS4 and Xbox One for £34.99
  • Overwatch on PS4 and Xbox One for £24.99
  • The Evil Within 2 on PS4 and Xbox One for £19.99
  • FIFA 18 on Xbox One and PS4 for £32.99
  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole on Xbox One and PS4 for £29.99
  • L.A. Noire on Xbox One and PS4 for £24.99, Switch for £29.99
  • Agents of Mayhem on PS4 and Xbox One for £9.99
  • Yakuza Zero on PS4 for £24.99
  • The Surge on PS4 and Xbox One for £12.99
  • Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle on Switch for £39.99

GAME's Christmas Sale with up to 50 per cent off

Somewhat bafflingly, there is a separate section on the GAME website for December Deals, which leads to a set of offers with some crossover, but with some unique deals in there too, including Wolfenstein 2 for £29.99 on both consoles and Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon for £32.99 apiece.

That said, it's worth noting that other retailers are taking note of these early morning discounts and getting competitive - Amazon has Star Wars Battlefront 2 for £32.99, Assassin's Creed for £34.99, FIFA 18 on Xbox One for £32.99, L.A. Noire for £25.99 on Switch (£22 on PS4 and Xbox One), among others. It'd be worth checking the site's Last Minute Christmas Deals page to double check your purchases.

All of this is lovely and all but my absolute favourite discount for today is definitely the electric Star Wars Landspeeder for kids over at Toys R Us, which is down another £50 today. Just because it's rad.
