Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Ep 3: Revisit the sewers, get a new assault rifle and find the Sewer Passage Key

With Claire and Moira's little excursion complete, we rejoin Barry and Natalia deep in the Overseer's Tower. Alex Wesker isn't look too great, but there's no time to worry about that now, what with her mutant minions fast approaching. Thankfully, Barry has a few tricks up his sleeve and the action resumes in relative safety, somewhere deep in the sewers.

With Natalia on your shoulders, move down the staircase ahead and continue forwards, passing beneath the pipe. At the end of the room, take a right and another right at the end.

Eventually you'll reach a staircase and Natalia should be on her feet again by this point. At the top, turn left and walk along the passageway ahead. When you reach the tunnel to the left, make your way down the slope. At the bottom, take a right and work your way around the room.

Navigate the sewers again

Once you reach the staircase illuminated by a red light in the corner, head on up. At the top, take another right and proceed along the passageway. Follow the ramp down onto the platform below, then take the next ramp down to the lowest level.

Next, make a left and climb the staircase at the end of the room. There's a ladder at the top, just to the left, so clamber on down to reach the other side of the gate that Claire and Natalia closed earlier on in the episode.

There are two badly decomposed zombie-mutants to deal with at the bottom, so take them out and make your way up the stone steps nearby. Continue up the ramp and proceed along the corridor, watching out for three more zombies that shamble into view as the passage bends right. Finish them off and press onwards, heading through the red door at the end.

On the other side, head down the steps nearby and prepare for a flurry of enemies. Luckily there's only one zombie to deal with - the rest are puny insects that can be destroyed with a few knife swings. When the coast is clear, take a left and head further along the passage.

As you proceed, several more zombies will drop down from the left-hand arches above, while more will rise up from the pile of corpses nearby. Eliminate them - watching out for the exploding pus on the ground - then continue forward.

At the end of the passage, smash the crate, then take a right along the glowing red tunnel. Deal with the corpse that springs to life as you move forward and continue on to the very end, noting the passage to the right as you go.

Where to find the Assault Rifle AK-7

Assuming that you turned the valve to open the grate in the previous chapter, you should now be able to swipe the Assault Rifle AK-7 from the pile of rubble ahead. Once it's yours, take care of the nearby zombie and then head down the passage you noted a little earlier on.

At the junction, take a left (you can also nip right to smash a crate if you like) and follow the passage along, taking another left at the end. As soon as you pass through the archway, you'll be accosted by an invisible bug, so follow Natalia's directions to bring it down.

When it's dead, climb the steps and pass through the open gate. Next, make your way down the corridor beyond the archway to the right and head through the green right-hand door.

How to find the Sewer Passage Key

Once the cut-scene ends, it's time to loot the room. Grab the 'Old Man's Journal' document from the table, the hidden Ruby (250BP) from the corpse, and the Sewer Passage Key from the hook on the wall. There's also a workbench here, should you need to upgrade or switch out your weapons before proceeding.

When you're ready, leave the room and take a right, passing through the red door ahead. On the other side, follow the passage as it bends around and exit via the shuttered doorway at the end.
