Super Mario Odyssey - Mount Volbono, The Broodals Are After Some Cookin' and Under the Cheese Rocks

How to complete the Luncheon Kingdom objective.

Mount Volbono, The Broodals Are After Some Cookin', and Under the Cheese Rocks are objectives you'll encounter after a fair bit of time with Super Mario Odyssey, which follow on from Super Mario Odyssey - Bubblaine, The Glass is Half Full! and The Squid Monster.

You'll find our full walkthrough for them here, whilst you can head back to our main Super Mario Odyssey guide, walkthrough and tips hub for plenty more on all aspects of the game!

Mount Volbono - The Broodals Are After Some Cookin'

After leaving the Odyssey, turn left and head towards the narrow canyon.

Jump over the platforms, watching out for the Goombas and the tomatoes (which leave pools of painful gloop). Stand by the edge of the canyon and throw Capy at the Lava Bubble.

Use the Lava Bubble to reach the other side, then jump up and walk across this new platform. The Broodals will arrive for another boss fight.

Fat Broodal

Time to take on the Fat Broodal again. His patterns of attack will be pretty much identical to last time, so beware of his circular poison spit. Use your hat to clear a path to him, the throw Capy to knock off his hat. Now jump on his head.

In reaction, he'll jump in his hat and start dragging gloop across the platform. Remember you can hit him with your hat to knock him away. Repeat this process two more times, being way that his circular spit extends its range with every phase. When he's beat, the Moon (The Broodals Are After Some Cookin') is yours.

Need more help? Our Super Mario Odyssey guide and walkthrough goes through every objective in each Kingdom, while our Power Moon locations can help you track down the likes of Cascade Kingdom Power Moons, Sand Kingdom Power Moons, Metro Kingdom and New Donk City Power Moons and more collectables. We also have Purple Coin locations for each Kingdom, and if you want to know what to spend it on, we have a hats list, outfits list, stickers list, a souvenirs list as well as a music list to kit out the appearance of both Mario and the Odyssey. Once you've finished the game, check out the free Balloon World update, too.

Under the Cheese Rocks

Head across the newly raised bridge, climb up or use the Volbonan sticking out of the wall to flick up (like you did with the Poles in New Donk City). Head forwards, hang a right then posses one of the Lava Bubbles at the end of the platform.

Travel across the lava lake, using the four bubbling pillars to reach the next level. Jump off by the ledges, avoid the Goombas and reach the left-hand side. Possess one of the Hammer Bros and destroy the cheese rocks on the far side. Climb the steps, still as the Hammer Bro, and destroy the block up here to reveal a switch.
