Destiny 2 Stop and Go and Anti-Anti-Air - how to find and defeat Jagad the Overwhelming Surge and Turret Machinist

Everything you need for tackling the EDZ-based Destiny 2 Adventures.

Stop and Go and Anti-Anti-Air are two fairly high-level Adventures you'll unlock in Destiny 2, and are available to play from the EDZ area on Earth after geting most of the way through the main story.

Here on this page, we'll give you a rundown of exactly how to unlock and then complete the two adventures, as well as a note of what rewards you can expect for doing so.

Before diving in though, note that for more of the same, and a general overview of how Adventures work, you can take a look at our Destiny 2 Adventures hub, with a list of various other Adventures and links to their respective guides, too.

Destiny 2 - Stop and Go

Stop and Go is a fairly high-level Adventure, and can be found in the planet Earth's EDZ.

Prerequisites: Complete Unbroken
Recommended power: 160
Reward: Rare (Blue) loot.

Here's what you need to do to complete the Stop and Go Adventure and tackle Jagad the Overwhelming Surge:

  • Breach the Tunnels - Kill a few nearby Fallen until you've collected three Data Fragments - you may need to hang around for more enemies to spawn.
  • Continue into the Tunnels - Hop on your Sparrow and make your way through the tunnels until you reach the forcefield.
  • Reach the Generator Transfer Facility - Kill the Fallen and use the console to drop the first forcefield.
  • Destroy Shield Batteries - Shoot the Battery located near the next forcefield, then head further inside. There are five in total; destroying each one before the timer reaches zero will give you an easier journey, but if time runs out you'll have more enemies to deal with.
  • Destroy the Backup Generators - first six - There are nine generators in the large room ahead, along with several waves of Fallen. We'd recommend taking it very slowly, eliminating as many as you can from either side of the room before crossing the bridges. Six of the generators can be destroyed fairly easily, and if you time your shots you can also use the splash damage to take out some of the larger enemies cutting down on your workload.
  • Destroy the Backup Generators - last three - Once you're down to three generators, you need to deactivate the forcefield on the remaining three using the consoles below them. Unfortunately Jagad the Overwhelming Surge will be there to ruin your day, so try and sneak round behind him and unleash a Rocket Launcher or a special attack before he can open fire on you - a single salvo of his rockets may be enough to kill you and this is a no-respawn zone meaning it's a lot of work to repeat if you get killed now, so caution is paramount. Once he's down and the coast is clear, use the three consoles to drop the forcefields and then destroy the remaining generators.

The Season of the Deep is here alongside the Into the Depths quest. You can know go fishing too! Don't forget to keep an eye on the Lost Sector and King's Fall challenge rotation schedule!

Destiny 2 - Anti-Anti-Air

Anti-Anti-Air is a fairly high-level Adventure, and can also be found on the planet Earth's EDZ.

Prerequisites: Complete Unbroken
Recommended power: 160
Reward: Upgrade Point.

Here's what you need to do to complete the Anti-Anti-Air Adventure and tackle the Turret Machinist:

  • Investigate the Anti-Air Problem - Head for the marker, kill the Turret Machinist, and grab the item he drops.
  • Search the Firebase/Push deeper into the firebase/Reach the outside - Head inside and follow the markers.
  • Destroy anti-air turrets - here are seven to destroy in total, and for each one you'll need to activate a console to drop its shield before you can damage it - the consoles are marked on your radar, and once activated the relevant turret will be marked.
  • Disable Enemy Tanks - Shoot the marked generators, but don't stand too close as they do a lot of splash damage.
  • Sabotage Artillery Cannon - Head for the marker and shoot the pipe on the ceiling.
  • Disable Artillery Cannon - Follow the waypoints outside and interact with the console.

With that, you're all done! Head back to our hub for Destiny 2 Adventures if you're looking for more on these.

Otherwise, nicely done, Guardian.
