Pokémon Go Easter egg event announced

Hatch a plan.

This Easter holiday weekend will be marked in Pokémon Go with a special event - the Pokémon Go Easter Eggstravaganza. Yup.

Starting today at 9pm UK time and lasting a full week, until next Thursday 20th April at the same time, you'll be able to hatch more Pokémon from eggs than usual.

Specifically, you'll be able to hatch rarer creatures from 2km eggs - the variety which takes the least steps to hatch. You'll also earn more candy for hatching eggs, too.

The entire game will benefit from double XP rewards on everything you do, and if you want to boost your luck further then you can buy a further XP boost using the Lucky Egg items for half-price.

If you're out Pokéhunting this weekend and want to maximise your game time, then Eurogamer has a full Pokémon Go Easter Eggstravaganza event guide to make the most out of your every step.
