Whether you've been fighting for your life in Resident Evil 7 or clubbing down Moblins in Breath of the Wild, 2017 has been a pretty eventful year for games thus far.

With so many good things out this year, in fact, it stands to reason you may have missed a few titles worth watching. If that sounds like you, have no fear - I've rounded up seven indie games you might like to stick on your wishlist. The vast majority of these I played myself at this year's EGX Rezzed - Ooblets in particular is a delight and personally I cannot wait to dive back into Nongunz. It's nightmareishly difficult, but there's a tantalising amount of depth there.

If there are any upcoming games that particularly take your fancy - especially ones I neglected to include in the video above - feel free to sing their praises in the comments below.

Johnny is one quarter of the Eurogamer video team - specifically the part that looks like it comes from East London. He loves pen and paper role playing games, his dog Watson, and pretty much any video game with a bit of grimdark to it. You are almost certainly pronouncing his surname incorrectly.
