Watch: Nine new things in Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Tolkien points.

With Nintendo launching the Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gaining near-perfect scores across the board, you'd be forgiven for forgetting that Middle-earth: Shadow of War was announced this week. The sequel to 2014's excellent Shadow of Mordor was officially unveiled with a trailer sadly lacking in gameplay but rich in detail nonetheless.

Like so many people I am a big fan of Tolkien's universe and Shadow of Mordor, so I leapt at the chance to scour the trailer for clues as to how the next game is shaping up. I'm not ashamed to tell you that my research included a half hour conversation about the different headgear the Nazgûl have canonically sported up to now.

Anyway, ringwraith hats aside, I found nine interesting new developments coming to Shadow of War, all of which you can learn about in the video below.

I'm still kind of obsessing over that wraith helm, to be honest - is that one of the nine or is there some new wraith hitherto unseen? Please let me know if you have any ideas; or any other thoughts, for that matter. The comments await.
