Here's what Zelda: Breath of the Wild's new amiibo do

Take this!

We now know what effects The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild amiibo have when paired with Nintendo's highly anticipated adventure.

As revealed by YouTuber channel GameXplain, by looking at the back of each amiibo's packaging, we can see how each figurine affects the game they're inspired by.

The many tentacled Guardian amiibo unlocks "rare weapons and items to help you on your adventure." These include a special arrow and some other items, maybe for crafting, that you can see below:

The Bokoblin amiibo also contains rare weapons; this time a couple of fancy clubs.

Horse Rider Link's amiibo-based booty includes a special sword and a saddle for his horse. Giddy up!

The Zelda amiibo grants players early use of a Hylian shield, which is probably stronger than your average shield.

The amiibo of Link with a bow predictably offers players access to the nifty-looking bow.

All items will be attainable without amiibo. You simply unlock them earlier with the figurines.

Weirdly, the back of the amiibo packaging only shows how the figurines work with the Wii U and 3DS, not the Switch. Don't read too much into that though as it's been confirmed that the Switch supports amiibo.

Outside of these new Breath of the Wild-based amiibo, you can use older Zelda amiibo to get goods like herbs and fish.
