Night in the Woods has been delayed until February

UPDATE: New release date set.

UPDATE 11/01/2017 5.30pm: Night in the Wood now has a new release date of 21st February.

ORIGINAL STORY 19/12/2016 6.40pm: Coming-of-age dramedy Night in the Woods has been pushed back a few weeks to "the first part of February."

Night in the Woods preorders begin tomorrow.

Recently scheduled for a 10th January launch on PS4, PC, Mac and Linux, developer Infinite Fall ran into a few snafus with certification as the three-person studio is releasing its first commercial game and it's going for a multi-platform launch; something that is easier said than done.

"It's all normal stuff, nothing is on fire, and it's all to do with the fact that we're a tiny team making a big game and doing a multi-platform launch is a whole *waves hands around* thing," the developer stated in a Kickstarter update.

"Right now we're waiting on some info from outside parties as to the exact date we can launch, but it'll be somewhere in the first part of February. We'll be able to announce the exact date around New Years but we didn't want to just sit on this info for the next couple weeks and spring it on folks who are looking forward to the game."

In the meantime, Infinite Fall has released two supplemental prologue pieces for Night in the Woods: Longest Night and Lost Constellation. Both are pay-what-you-want offerings.
