Resident Evil 7 Collector's Edition includes dummy finger USB drive

UPDATE: UK version has a different house.

UPDATE 28/11/16: A week on from the US Resident Evil 7 Collector's Edition announcement comes word of the UK-specific version.

Available exclusively at GAME or on Amazon.co.uk, this edition includes a 7" model of the Baker family house rather than the 8" music box shaped like the game's familiar ramshackle mansion.

You still get a disembodied dummy finger, although it looks like a different model. You also get some herbs, because why not.

As of yet, we don't have a UK price.

ORIGINAL STORY 21/11/16: The GameStop-exclusive $179.99 Resident Evil 7 Collector's Edition offers one strange bit of fan-service with a 4G USB stick shaped like the Resi 7 demo's infamous dummy finger.

The Collector's Edition also includes an eight inch music box shaped like the game's ramshackle mansion, which was used as the staging area at various trade shows throughout the year. The music box plays a sample of the game's main theme Aunt Rhody, accompanied by LED effects.

Also included in this pricey edition is the base game, an exclusive metal case, VHS tape box, exclusive lithograph, premium packaging, and a "creepy note". It looks like the creepy note says "I shall dash you against the stones." Pretty creepy, eh?

The dummy finger is the most amusing bit of the whole thing as it's a reference to an item in the game's demo that does nothing. Eventually Capcom updated the demo so you can attach the wayward item onto a mannequin's hand... which also does nothing. But it did get the internet speculating for some time.

Resident Evil 7 will launch on 24th January for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Its VR mode will be exclusive to PlayStation VR for one year.
