Gone Home is free this weekend on PC, Mac and Linux

"For people that need something about hope and love right now."

Exploratory familial mystery Gone Home is free to download this weekend for PC, Mac and Linux, via itch.io.

Developer Fullbright decided to offer its coming-of-age tale for free in response to the widespread existential dread permeating the air since the results of the US presidential election came in.

"For people that need something about hope and love right now: We've made @GoneHomeGame free this weekend on @itchio." Fullbright creative director Steve Gaynor tweeted.

For those unfamiliar with Gone Home, it follows the exploits of a coed returning home to Portland after studying a semester abroad in Europe. While away, her family moved house, but eerily no one is around to greet our out of touch youngster. As such, you must snoop through the house to piece together the personal struggles that have plagued the suburban Greenbriar brood.
