The Game Awards 2016 is another late one in the UK

We're Keighley excited.

The Game Awards 2016 kicks off at 1.30am UK time on 2nd December. Yep, it's a late one.

It'll be streamed at all the usual places, and even Twitter.

Geoff Keighley's video game event is usually good for a few announcements or first looks. Last year's show featured the likes of Telltale's Batman game, Uncharted 4 and Quantum Break.

The Game Awards 2015 also included a heartfelt tribute to the late Satoru Iwata from Nintendo USA boss Reggie Fils-Aimé. You can watch that in the video below.

So, what to expect at this year's awards? Perhaps we'll get another look at Mass Effect: Andromeda. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hideo Kojima turn up to show more of Death Stranding, given both he and Geoff Keighley are old chums. And maybe we'll see some Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay!
