There's a special Animal Crossing: New Leaf Nintendo Direct right now

Watch here at 2pm UK, KK?

A Nintendo Direct dedicated to Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be broadcast at 2pm UK time.

It'll detail the game's big new update, which arrives this month for free - four years after the game originally released.

We already know about integration for the series' various amiibo figurines and cards (there's also a fresh series of cards coming up). But what else will be added?

We're particularly interested to see how Animal Crossing will now support figurines from other franchises, too - we've already heard about Splatoon, and even a promotion with Hello Kitty (which may or may not come to the West).
