When you're ready to continue, leave the tavern and follow the objective marker to the docks. Make your way around the harbour and approach Yennefer near the ship.
Work through the conversation, then follow Yennefer onto the boat. Speak with Avallac'h on the deck and, if you're ready to set sail, let him know.
Once you arrive back in Skellige, inquire about the Sunstone to learn more of its origins, then ask Yennefer to teleport you onto Emhyr's ship. Sadly, that doesn't look like a possibility, so say your farewells and prepare to make the journey the old-fashioned way.
Talk to Ermion
Leave your vessel and head down to the docks. Turn left at the bottom and continue along the waterfront until you reach the path leading up the hill to the right. Hop on Roach, then gallop all the way up to the castle entrance. On arrival, dismount then make your way inside.
Find out what all the commotion is when you enter the hallway, then follow the corridor forwards until you reach the banquet hall. When the battle begins, work your way through the Nilfgaardian soldiers. Once they're dead, ask Ermion if he knows anything about the Sunstone. This opens up two new objectives to work towards, so take your leave.
Talk to the bard known as Eyvind
Leave the room via the doors to the north then exit the castle, making your way back down the mountain. Once you cross the bridge, follow the objective marker to the south-west. You'll need to work your way around the bay to reach your destination so, given the mountainous terrain, don't be surprised if your journey takes some time.

How to find the hidden caves
You'll eventually find the bard at a lookout point along the clifftops near the village. Tell him that you'll help keep watch for Gevorg the white whale, then pick his brains about the hidden caves. When the conversation comes to an end, loot the chest at the top of the steps then make your way north, heading down the mountain until you reach the water.
Find and talk to the pearl diver
At the water's edge, hop into a boat and begin your journey seaward, heading in the direction of the objective marker. Disembark when you reach your island destination, then continue on across the dry land. Watch out for renegade islanders as you near your goal, then plop into the water and swim out toward the diver's vessel.
From the boat, dive straight down and turn to face south-west. Directly ahead, you should see a cave mouth in the rocks. Swim on in and proceed along the passage. Once you resurface, scramble onto land again and follow the tunnel deeper into the rock.
Speak to the men you find in the cavern then, once the pleasantries are over, find out what they know about the elven ruins. With the conversation over, follow the tunnel back to the east, either dealing with the drowners in the area or scarpering passed them.
Talk to Yennefer
When you resurface outside, return to the beach where you docked your boat and sail back to the main island. Next, find your nearest fast travel point and head to Kaer Trolde Harbour. Finally, speak with Yennefer near Avallac'h's vessel. Work your way through the conversation options, then prepare to investigate the laboratory.
