Watch: What's the rarest Pokémon we can catch in 30 minutes?

Vulpix or it never happened.

We're quite fond of a little healthy competition here at Eurogamer, which is why it's fair to say the recent meteoric rise of Pokémon Go has the potential to bring out the worst in us. Sure, it isn't even a multiplayer game, and there's been a nice cameraderie about everyone taking turns throughout the working day to put down a lure on the pokéstop overlapping the office (well, almost everyone, eh Chris Bratt?), but you can trust us to find some way to make it petty.

Today, Johnny, Chris and myself set ourselves the challenge to catch the rarest Pokémon we could within a half-hour time limit. Incense, Lures, and Razz Berries were all fair game, and all of Brighton was our hunting ground. I won't spoil it, but let me just tell you it's made me see certain co-workers in an entirely new light. The Pokéballs on him.
