Resident Evil has a long and sometimes proud history. I think it's fair to say that the first couple of Resident Evil games were genre defining, which makes it all the more tragic to contemplate the state in which the series currently exists.

I say all this, but I'm by no means a Resident Evil expert. Happily, Aoife is - in this week's Eurogamer Show, she looks at what made Resident Evil great before charting its spectacular, rock punching decline. Go make yourself a Jill sandwich and give it a watch.

Video Team

Johnny is one quarter of the Eurogamer video team - specifically the part that looks like it comes from East London. He loves pen and paper role playing games, his dog Watson, and pretty much any video game with a bit of grimdark to it. You are almost certainly pronouncing his surname incorrectly.
