Obduction, the spiritual successor to Myst, out in June

Obduction, the spiritual successor to Myst, comes out in June 2016, developer Cyan has announced.

In 2013 Cyan raised $1.3m from over 22,000 backers on Kickstarter to make Obduction.

The teaser trailer, below, shows off the various environments the game features. The set-up is this: you've been abducted and dropped into an alien landscape with a stereotypical, Kansas farmhouse with a white picket fence. You're in a bizarre little town you can explore.

Here's the blurb:

You choose where you want to go. You choose how much freedom you want. Choose to have full gamer control, or simplify and explore with a simple click of the mouse. Either way these new worlds reveal their secrets only as you explore and coax them. And no matter how you choose to explore, you fall upon some heavy choices to make with substantial consequences.

One to watch!
