Far Cry Primal has leapt to the top of the UK all-format charts in its debut week of release.

Ubisoft's Stone Age adventure beat off competition from EA shooter Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, which dug its heels into second place.

But there's no word yet on how well either sold compared to previous installments in their respective series.

Further down the chart, 3DS exclusive Bravely Second: End Layer arrived in 12th position.

FIFA 16 was third this week, ahead of COD Blops 3, GTA5 and Lego Marvel Avengers. Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4 and Rainbow 6: Siege were just behind.

Street Fighter 5, which debuted last week in second place, tumbled into 10th.
