UPDATE 15/12/15 9.30am: The digital Xbox 360 version of dismal extreme sports game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 has quietly launched in the UK via the Xbox 360 marketplace.

Contrary to earlier reports, you can now buy the game's last-gen version in the UK if you so choose.

It may be that the PS3 version pops up on the PlayStation Store when it updates in the UK tomorrow.

Activision UK previously said it had no plans for a release in this country - it now appears that this may only apply to physical versions of the game.

UPDATE 14/12/15 13.55pm: Activision is not planning to release Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 in the UK on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, the publisher has confirmed to Eurogamer.

The delayed last-gen port will finally arrive in North America this week, some two months after the game's PS4 and Xbox One launch.

When asked about a UK launch, Activision said it was "not releasing in the UK on those platforms at this time". Considering how broken the game was, this may well be a good thing.

ORIGINAL STORY 14/12/15 10.40am: The delayed last-gen versions of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 are finally being kicked out the door this week - at least in the US.

Activision announced back in October it was holding back the launch of THPS5's PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions while it focused on fixing the buggy mess that was the PS4 and Xbox One release.

At the time, we heard ol' Tony Hawk and friends were not likely to reach the PS3 or Xbox 360 before Christmas, but it now seems like the game will just squeak out in time.

The US PlayStation Store has both digital and retail versions of the PS3 game listed for launch tomorrow, 15th December.

Amazon.com will sell you a physical version of either the PS3 or Xbox 360 edition from that date.

We've asked Activision UK for confirmation of European launch plans.
