Microtransactions removed.

Nintendo is boxing up free-to-play 3DS battler Pokémon Rumble World.

The free downloadable game will get a physical edition on 22nd January, Nintendo has announced.

This new version has been designed without the need to spend money on microtransactions, which have been removed entirely from the game.

Rumble World's digital original relies upon in-game purchases to make money, although does not specifically require them for players to progress.

Players will now get a healthy lump of in-game Poké Diamonds on starting their adventure. Then, using the Poké Diamond Digger tool, 40 more Poké Diamonds will be available to claim each day.

In the free-to-play version, 50 Poké Diamonds cost 69p, or you can pay up to £14.39 for 1750.

There's no word yet on how much the physical version of the game will cost.
