You can now buy PSN avatars on PlayStation 4

And some of them are awful.

PlayStation 4 users can now purchase a new avatar via the PSN Store.

The UK avatar selection stretches to just a handful of LittleBigPlanet characters, many of which are free. Others will set you back the sum of 20p.

Previously-purchased PS3 avatars will transfer over shortly, Sony has also announced via Twitter.

Many more avatars are already available in North America, and will presumably trickle through to Sony's European PlayStation Store in the near future.

Many of them are awful. Really bad. Like, Windows 95 clip art bad.

Also, they cost $1.99 (about 1.30) a pop. Destructoid has already rounded up some of the worst, but here's our pick below.
