Here's what the Angry Birds movie looks like

Seems less explosive than Birdman.

The Angry Birds movie now has a debut trailer teasing its May 2016 release.

Starring Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad and Danny McBride as a trio of fowl with anger management issues, this colourful cast must band together to stop some evil green pigs (whose leader is played by Bill Hader) from, well, that's not exactly clear. But they're definitely up to no good!

The A-list supporting cast includes: Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Peter Dinklage, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Jillian Bell, Danielle Brooks, Romeo Santos and Smosh (Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla).

Will this slick cast turn the near plotless mobile sensation into something entertaining on its own merits, or is the Angry Birds movie doomed to the same failures as other video game-based films?
