Surprise! Dying Light now has a co-op console demo

11.47GB on Xbox One.

Zombie shooter Dying Light has been out for a while, so the launch of a co-op console demo this week comes as something of a surprise.

If you haven't played the Techland title yet and feel like giving it a try, you can download it now for either PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Xbox One version weighs in at 11.47GB and is available from today.

PlayStation 4 owners get a slightly more lightweight download of 9.8GB. It's also available now.

Six months on from its launch, Dying Light has now sold more than 5m copies worldwide. Many of those sales are on PC, where the game can be easily modded.

"Dying Light mixes up Techland's own recipe to enjoyable effect," Dan Whitehead wrote in Eurogamer's review, "but can't fully disguise its regurgitated flavour."
