Assassin's Creed Syndicate PC due a month after consoles

Ubisoft focusing on smooth launch, no locked framerate or resolution.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate's PC version is due on 19th November, four weeks after the PS4 and Xbox One versions' release on 23rd October.

This is to ensure the PC version doesn't have a buggy launch. "We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilising and optimising the PC version very early on in the project," said Ubisoft Kiev's studio production manager Sam Kovalev on the Ubisoft blog. "This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year."

"The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalise all of the polish and optimisation, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one," he added.

Ubisoft noted that the game is working to optimise Syndicate on a wide variety of rigs and while the PC requirements haven't quite been nailed down yet, the publisher confirmed that "there will be no locks on the game as far as framerate and resolution goes" and "the recommended system requirements will target 1080p and 30fps."
