People are struggling to log in to The Elder Scrolls Online on console

Dev working on a fix.

Reports are coming in that people are struggling to log in to the console version of The Elder Scrolls Online.

The login failed screen for TESO on Xbox One - a familiar sight for many last night and this morning.

The TESO forum and NeoGAF are packed with complaints from players who can't get into the game, which launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at midnight last night. Of those who do manage to log in, some are being booted from the game.

Eurogamer's Dan Whitehead has also failed to log in on Xbox One after repeated attempts. The image, right, is what he's seeing this morning.

It's a particularly annoying problem for those who stayed up last night to play and now can't. And it's a bit of a head scratcher, too. TESO on console has been in various stages of beta for some time now, so you'd imagine developer Zenimax Online Studios would have prepared adequately for an influx of players.

Publisher Bethesda has acknowledged the issue, saying a fix is in the works.

We'll keep an eye on this one.
