Badland: GOTY Edition PC and console release date

Good news.

The new PC and console version of Badland, Apple's 2013 iPad Game of the Year, will launch for PC and consoles in two weeks' time.

PC, Mac and Linux versions of the side-scrolling 2D platformer arrive via Steam on Tuesday 27th May.

PlayStation 3, PS4 and Vita versions arrive the same day in North America, and on the 27th here in Europe.

Xbox One then gets the game on Friday 29th, while Wii U should see Badland sometime in June.

Badland is the work of Finnish indie studio Frogmind, which was formed from former RedLynx staffers who worked on Trials Evolution.

This new edition has been polished up by Blitworks and Frozenbyte and now features hand-painted graphics, redesigned controls and a package of extra levels.

PC and console players will be able to explore 100 single-player stages, 100 co-op levels and 27 multiplayer maps that support up to four-player local multiplayer.
