The Escapists' PS4 port gets a release date

Bail set at 14.99.

Prison escaping sim The Escapists will arrive on PS4 on 29th May, publisher team 17 has announced.

North Americans will receive it the following week on 2nd June.

Mouldy Toof's breakout adventure will cost £14.99 / €17.99 / $19.99 and its Alcatraz DLC will be available at launch for £1.99 / €2.49 / $2.99.

The game tasks players with busting out of prison by taking jobs, doing favours, bartering items, crafting supplies, sneaking around and sticking to their daily routines in front of the guards.

The Escapists launched earlier this year on PC and Xbox One. Eurogamer contributor Dan Whitehead called it a "delightful and endlessly surprising game" in his The Escapists review.
