Star Wars Battlefront playable "first on Xbox One"

Thanks to EA Access.

Xbox One owners will be able to play Star Wars Battlefront first, Microsoft has said.

While not unexpected - most EA releases launch five days earlier on Xbox One for members of the EA Access program - it is the first time we have had confirmation that Battlefront will be included.

Xbox exec Aaron Greenberg confirmed the fact via Twitter last night:

EA Access costs £3.99 a month and is currently only available for Xbox One. The subscription unlocks a free vault of existing EA games, discounts on future EA purchases and early access to new releases.

Star Wars Battlefield is also set to launch on PC and PlayStation 4 - although Sony has ruled out the possibility of EA Access launching for its platform.
