ORIGINAL STORY 9.4/15 1.22pm: Lego Dimensions, the company's much-rumoured entry into the toys-to-life games genre, features characters such as Batman, Gandalf and The Lego Movie's Wyldstyle.

Details of the franchise's Starter Pack have leaked via Reddit ahead of an expected official announcement later this afternoon.

The pack contains the Lego Dimensions game, a Lego Toy Pad (think Skylanders' portal), a selection of bricks, three minifigures (Batman, Gandalf, Wyldstyle) and a Lego Batmobile vehicle.

Further confirming the leak, product listings for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One have all now appeared on the US Toys R Us website.

A press release for the franchise's other content also mentions Back to the Future's DeLorean car, DC Comics' Wonder Woman and Lego's own Ninjago series.

Lego has been teasing an announcement for today with the hashtag #BreakTheRules, referring to Dimensions' capabilities for mixing up various franchises.

We've contacted publisher Warner Bros. for more comment, and expect to hear more details later today.
