Dragon Quest Heroes 2 announced for PS3, PS4, Vita

Just five weeks after Japanese launch of original.

Square Enix has greenlit Dragon Quest Heroes 2, which will be released at some point in the future for PlayStation 3, PS4 and Vita.


The first Dragon Quest Heroes arrived in Japan just five weeks ago and sold well. It notched up 594k copies in its first week.

Writing in a new blog post announcing its successor, Square Enix noted the "warm reception" it had gained.

Heroes is a mash-up of Dragon Quest's RPG tropes with the hack and slash action of Dynasty Warriors.

Europe and North America are set to see the first title later in 2015 as a PS4 exclusive.
