Fatal Frame U coming to Wii U this year

The latest Japanese horror sensation gets localised.

A new entry in the spooky Fatal Frame series is due later this year on Wii U.

Nintendo made the announcement today during its Nintendo Direct.

This will be a localisation of Fatal Frame 5: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden, which launched last September in Japan. It allows you to use the gamepad as a camera to snap pictures of ghosts.

The Fatal Frame series launched in Europe as Project Zero. It's always been centered around haunted Japanese villages and an enchanted camera that wards off malevolent spirits.
