Video: Borderlands 2 brings splitscreen co-op to Xbox One, PS4

Plus more videos from Outside Xbox.

Splitscreen modes aren't as fashionable in these days of internet-loving consoles as they were in the GoldenEye golden age, but I tell you what is on trend: HD remasters.

Borderlands combines the two in The Handsome Collection, which bundles new-gen versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel with splitscreen co-op and a mountain of DLC. Get an eyeful of three-player Borderlands 2 gameplay in the video below. Mike says he gets the biggest chunk of screen because it's his TV.

It's a welcome addition to the modest collection of Xbox One titles that offer splitscreen modes, joining the likes of Minecraft, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and the recent Resident Evil: Revelations 2 in our rotation of couch co-op games, as featured in Show of the Week:

If fullscreen multiplayer is more your speed because you have a TV all to yourself, remember that the things you own end up owning you. Also, you should check in with Outside Xbox's GTA Online heist crew, hard at work preparing for a raid on an animal testing lab.

The first step is to discreetly buy the access codes for Humane Labs in a secret carpark exchange that is frankly bound to end in a Bonnie and Clyde-scale shootout with the feds.

That's this week's Outside Xbox video sampler, but treat yourself to even more at See you there, Eurogamers.
