Mortal Kombat X Quitalities explode rage quitters' heads

UPDATE: Predator, Tanya, Tremor and Liu Kang confirmed as playable.

UPDATE 23/03/2015: NetherRealm has confirmed Predator as a playable character following last week's leak.

Predator is joined by fellow guest character Jason Voorhees, and somewhat obscure Mortal Kombat characters Tanya and Tremor, in the £24.99 Kombat Pack season pass.

All four playable characters show up briefly in the teaser video, below.

The contents of the Kombat Pack include Klassic skins for Kano, Sonya and Liu Kang, which confirms Liu Kang as a playable character, not that there was any doubt.

Also included are Predator-themed skins Commando Johnny, Infrared Scorpion and Carl Weathers as Jax. Weathers famously played Dillon in the Predator movie, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.

ORIGINAL STORY 20/03/2015: NetherRealm has come up with a novel way of humiliating rage quitters: blow up their heads.

Well, not their heads. Their characters' heads.

In a stream last night NetherRealm revealed Quitalities. If a player quits the game early then their character's head explodes, ending the match and awarding a flawless victory to the opponent. According to the developer, this is a way of "making the winner look better".

You can see it in action below.

Meanwhile, Predator has been confirmed as a guest playable character in the game.

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

A bundle description for the Kombat Pack on the Xbox Games Store mentions the already-announced Jason Voorhees and the unannounced Predator as being included in the pack, alongside two "Klassic" Mortal Kombat characters.

And, if you're feeling particularly not safe for work, check out the fatalities for Mileena, Takeda and Kung Jin in the videos below. Mileena's fatality, in particular, is not for the faint of heart.
