Metal Gear Solid 5 launches on Steam two weeks after console, Konami has revealed.

Yesterday a global 1st September 2015 release date for the game was leaked online. Today, Konami confirmed the date - but it relates only to the PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions.

The Steam version launches on 15th September 2015. Konami declined to comment about this when asked by Eurogamer.

Metal Gear Solid 5, which includes the new Metal Gear Online, retails with an SRP of £59.99 for PS4, Xbox One and Steam, and £49.99 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

There's also a £99.99 Collector's Edition for the PS4 and Xbox One. This includes a half scale replica of Snake's bionic arm, as well as other bits and bobs.
