UPDATE 27/5/15 8.55am: For those left in any doubt by the earlier Amazon leak, the retailer has now updated its listing for the still-unannounced Darksiders 2 re-release.
Fresh, official-looking box art has been added to the page - which also reveals a suitably morbid new name for the remaster: Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition.
Darksiders publisher Nordic Games is still yet to announce the edition officially, but we expect to hear more around E3.
ORIGINAL STORY 16/2/15 8.55am: Eagle-eyed gamers have spotted a listing for Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4.
Darksiders publisher Nordic Games has yet to officially announce the new version, and today told Eurogamer that it couldn't comment further at this time.
But other PS4 versions of Nordic properties have also been spotted - including Legend of Kay HD, Arcania - The Complete Tale, MX vs ATV: Supercross Encore Edition and The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (the latter of which is also listed for Xbox One).
Each of these has a placeholder release date of 31st December 2015, although these will almost certainly change as and when the games are officially announced.
Nordic acquired the rights to the Darksiders franchise following the collapse of the series' previous publisher THQ.
The company has yet to announce plans for a new project in the series, but last year released a Darksiders Collection, which included both games in the franchise so far alongside the sequel's season pass content.
"We are not a developer," Nordic boss Lars Wingefors previously told Eurogamer. "We should not create a sequel. We need to find the best creative team to look into a sequel. We will look into various options to make sequels.
"We have been approached by people who seem to know that product very well. However, if those discussions lead anywhere, I don't know."
