PlayStation-exclusive TV series Powers gets launch date

Super.

PlayStation's first exclusive TV series, Powers, will land on 10th March.

A superhero show starring District 9's Sharlto Copley, Powers will span 10 episodes.

The first three will be made available to watch immediately on 10th March, while the remaining seven will launch weekly thereafter.

The pilot episode will be free to all PlayStation owners, while the remaining episodes will be free to anyone with a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Powers will mix the traditional weekly police procedural format with a Heroes-esque plot focusing on humans with super powers - both good and bad.

The series co-stars stand-up comedian and actor Eddie Izzard, Breaking Bad's Adam Godley and Star Trek: TNG's Michelle Forbes.

Microsoft dabbled with its own slate of original TV programming but has since shuttered its studios - only the already-ordered Halo TV series remains in production.
