Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer is free this weekend on Steam

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer portion is free to play on Steam this weekend.

Basketball... basketball has changed.

The offer lasts until Monday at 10am PST, so that's 6pm for UK folk.

This multiplayer-only portion has been automatically added to your library, should you choose to install it. Word of warning, though: it's a 36.5GB download, so you might want to start that before heading out or going to bed. It's gonna take a while.

If you like what you play, the full game is 25 per cent off on Steam this weekend, bringing the price to £29.99 / $44.99.

Our Dan Whitehead found the latest Call of Duty a bit underwhelming, but still a good time nonetheless. He noted in his Advanced Warfare review that the game's biggest addition to the series, the exo-suits, switch things up a great deal in multiplayer, even if Titanfall did the whole double-jumping and parkour thing earlier. "Against human foes, rather than the intellectually limited enemies of the campaign, there's actual tactical value to these abilities," he wrote.

Sounds worth a looksee anyway, if you've got the time.
